But restaurant procedures weren’t working for wait staff on that charity event night. When server didn’t show up after waiting for at least 10 minutes, my group said they were told to order at the bar, so I did Bartender got most tips for food and drink upfront last night, including my 20% tip. Didn’t like that servers who only brought and removed plates complained to the band about not receiving tips when we did leave tips when paying the check immediately upon ordering at the bar. After a long wait looking at only one menu, a waiter from another section finally waited on us. We both asked for low spice meals. We sent back the over spiced meals. My wife and I both got the pontchartrain fish which typically comes with rice so we didn’t think we needed to add rice as a side. The onion rings were nice and crunchy, and the roasted potatoes were ok as well. We found this place through Restaurant.com so we had a $25 certificate. The portions were amazingly small for our bill total to be $103 prior to the certificate, and prior to tip. 2 meals, 1 appetizer, and 1 coke.
